SISTERHOOD – Body Love
An journey for women into embodied self-love
We often think of the body as something separate from us — judging it, criticizing it, rejecting its parts and its experiences, frequently without even noticing. The culture we live in feeds this estrangement in a thousand ways: from a thinking-centered value system, through the beliefs handed down by religion, to the messages of the beauty industry.
And yet you are a single, wondrous being — mind, heart, and body working as one, with all your thoughts, emotions, and sensations. Your body is full of wisdom and pleasure, and it’s waiting for you to connect with it. This is what we practice in this workshop: self-love, as it can be lived in the body.
Our methods:
- dance – Movement Medicine™, a free-dance-based movement meditation drawing on shamanic traditions
- breathwork – from the toolkit of VITA™ (Vital Integrated Tantric Approach)
- VITA™ somatic practices
- creative expression
Through dance, breath, verbal practices, sharing, inner energy work, and gentle self-touch, we’ll explore what it’s like to turn toward the experiences of our body-mind with presence and acceptance.
This workshop is an invitation to come one step closer to feeling at home in your body – and in its aliveness.
