SISTERHOOD – BLACK & WHITE, YES & NO
“Boundaries are the distance in which I can love you and myself at the same time,” says Prentis Memphill.
And she continues: “Boundaries are the first and most fundamental expression of self-love.” This quote reflects that we all benefit when we dare to express our boundaries. Only when we can say “no” can our “yes” be truly authentic—and this creates safety in relationships. If I know that when someone says yes, it’s not because they’re afraid to say no, but because it’s truly a yes.

As women, most of us have been conditioned to focus on others’ needs, often putting our own last—leading us to disconnect from our power and our authentic selves. In the next open Sisterhood session, we’ll explore boundaries through movement, sharing, and creative expression.

Sisterhood is a safe space filled with creativity and transformative power, where through the tools of Movement Medicine, rituals, art therapy techniques, and movement and communication practices, you will connect with your resources, heal your wounds, work through your blocks, and arrive at a deeper, more authentic presence—in your body and in the world.
Movement Medicine™, grounded in conscious movement and free dance, draws from shamanic traditions and modern neuroscience to help you release old patterns and rewire your nervous system. This leads to a deeper connection with yourself and a freer, more balanced, calm, and courageous life.
