For example, my morning practice, which I do even if I don’t feel like it at all. The weekly and daily rhythms, which my children can also count on. To eat things that are good for my body. The self-discipline to finish a job on time, even when the sun is shining outside and every part of me wants to go outside…

..and on other days, the good decision is to leave work and go for a run in the nearby forest regardless of any deadline. And I usually do work more efficiently afterward.

This sentence has been with me for years, showing itself in new and new layers. Because at first

being able to flow with life seems to be the ideal state.

to follow my body’s impulses and move, rest, close, open – whatever I need. That’s when I feel like I’m taking good care of myself.

At the same time, I know that I need some structures which hold or even liberate me.

It's also a dance. The world and me. I am looking for the steps, the structure, and the freedom to be at home in both.
